Simonne Spooner FACP
Specialist Sports Physiotherapist
Simonne is our practice principal at North Ryde Physiotherapy. Having completed her exams in May 2013, Simonne graduated from the Australian College of Physiotherapists as a Specialist Sports Physio, one of only 37 in Australia. Fellowship of the College recognises the leadership and expertise of Specialist Physiotherapists. She has extensive experience in the treatment of sports injuries, particularly those associated with rugby union. Simonne was the physiotherapist for the Australian Women's Rugby Union Team for 6 years. She is currently the Head Physiotherapist for Eastwood Rugby Union.
Ben joined the practice in May 2017, having graduated from Sydney University with a Master of Physiotherapy, having also completed a Bachelor of Exercise Physiology from UNSW prior to studying physiotherapy. Ben has a keen interest in Sports Physiotherapy and has worked with a number of sporting clubs throughout Sydney, most recently with the North Shore Mariners.
Tara joined the practice in February 2017 having graduated from Sydney University with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy). Tara has a particular interest in Sports Physiotherpay and will be assisting Simonne at Eastwood Rugby Union during the playing season. Tara has first hand experience dealing with injuries as she has competed at high levels in athletics.
Leanne joined North Ryde Physiotherapy in October 2016. Leanne is a local of the area having lived, worked and raised her children within North Ryde. She already has proved to be a valuable member of the team assisting in running the day to day operations of the practice.
Jill is Simonne's mum and our casual receptionist who not only takes care of the front desk but also the staff here. Jill has been with our practice for over two years.
Matt joined us in March 2016 as a casual receptionist He is currently the first grade halfback player for Eastwood Rugby in the Shute Shield. He is currently studying Health Sciences at Macquarie University.
